Want to fix the economy? Do this
1 Shop local - meaning shop at a locally owned business - seek out stores owned by individuals in your community
2 Buy only American made products - if demand for American made products go up - then there is a demand for American Manufacturing again
3. American manufacturing means more jobs here and less money going overseas
4. If there are more Americans employed then there is less stress on the welfare system
We can no longer look to Washington to fix this problem that they have in part created - but we also have to assume part of the blame by our inconsiderate spending habits. If together as a group - we band together and flex our economic muscle by only buying USA made products - we are telling Washington their trade agreements are unfair to the American businessman and that we are tired of sending our jobs overseas because it benefits their political agenda.
The average American is just trying to get by these days and is too worried about next weeks paycheck to even be aware of the nonsense that is going on.
We have got to educate the people about the power they hold as a collective. Not by just signing a petition or putting a bumper stcker on their car - but by changing their spending habits - buying "Made in the USA" only - and spending their money in local shops so their communities will thrive again.
Consider this - if you do not support your local businesses - they shut down and there is unemployment - unemployment goes up then crime and despair go up - now your house is worth less because you didn't support local businesses
It cannot be done alone and there has to be a nationwide CRY for everyone to hear this message - EVERYONE needs to think about their children not having jobs when they get older - we need to keep teachers in the school systems and quit cutting back - if employement goes down there will be less of a burden with taxes because there will be more people to pay them - We have got to get the message out in plain and simple terms that REAL Americans can understand and relate to. We need LOCAL economic strength and we need a STRONG military.
The only way to stop the downward spiral of our nations economy is to stand together because quite frankly - I DO NOT TRUST WASHINGTON TO GET IT DONE without years or red tape -
If our landfills are going to pile up with trash - by God it should be American trash and not a bunch of cheap Chinese garbage that we didn't need anyway - (someone in America can start making the junky plastic stuff our kids love so much and I for one will feel much knowing that I wasted my money for a good cause)
We are going to keep pushing - join our cause - spread the word - and keep your eyes open for the website that will track our movements and help SAVE AMERICA a piece at a time - website - ALocalWay.com will be for local businesses, community awarenesss, we are not selling anything - WE JUST WANT A BETTER FUTURE FOR OUR KIDS TOO MUCH GOVERNMENT IS TOO MUCH GOVERNMENT they are supposed to help and enhance our lives - not completely run everything we do and suck us dry
I will take a moment to say I do support the work of a few politicians - most of the time their intentions are hampered by red tape - that is why it is up to us to take care of ourselves - show the government what we want by our actions - make them listen to us. We have to ignore their excuses and just follow through with what we know is right for our country. We are organizing a nationwide shopping blackout for foreign goods to gain support for American manufacturing - we are also going to ask business owners to clearly seperate the American Made products where it will be easier for us the consumer to do our part - I understand that it has been made almost impossible to Shop Local and Buy Made in the USA and that is what we are aiming to change.
A final note - people who by their health and life insurance online as well as their car insurance - you are saving no money - you are just taking jobs from local agents who are put there to help you in the event something happens - people who have to be licensed by the state to explain to you the policy you are buying - some policies have wording that could confuse the policy holder into believing they are covered. For example - will pay 80% of operating physician's fee for heart surgery - the assisting physician will not get paid - and from what I understand there is always another physician there to assist - I will not say what company did this or if they are still doing this because I do not want to deal with the ugly remarks from their loyal public - and it is a large old company that has a great reputation.
